The Heart of the Matter.

The CIA, or Central Intelligence Agency, of the United States of America were the ones behind the conspiracy to kill President John F. Kennedy on November 22, 1964.

The CIA of the Cold War was a completely different beast from the wimpy CIA of today. Back then, they had the mindset that to beat the Russians, they had to think like them too – the Cold War CIA was a ruthless anti-Communist machine, one that had to adopt the policies and practices of their enemy to do their job effectively.

The CIA had, in just the Kennedy administration, tried to kill Castro multiple times, assassinated the dictator of the Dominican Republic and the president of Zaire, overthrown the President of the Dominican Republic (after it became a democracy), and overthrown the President of Ecuador.

He was chosen by the CIA to be a scapegoat for the operation – he was given a rifle more mediocre than that of the other shooters’, so he wouldn’t “mess up the plan”.

He was unaware he was to be framed as the “crazy lone shooter” and killed.

He was able to be accused as a “crazy lone shooter” since he had defected to the Soviet Union, had been in the Marines and gotten a decent rating in riflery, and had a troubled childhood.

Oswald shot first, around Zapruder frame 150. It bounced off a curb and hit James Tague in the cheek, but hurt no one in the motorcade.

The next shot was by the shooter below Oswald around Zapruder frame 210. It hit JFK in the back, and also hit Gov. Connally.

The next shot was from the Grassy Knoll shooter, around Zapruder frame 278. It hit JFK in the neck. The House Select Committee on Assassinations said this shot had a 95% chance of coming from the Grassy Knoll, according to the Dictabelt recording.

The last shot, the well-known headshot at Zapruder frame 313, was fired from the shooter in the TSBD.
