A MESSAGE FROM OUR PASTOR
Dear Holy Apostles Parish Family,
Summer is flying by quickly, so I hope you
are getting in some fun and relaxation.
It is important to give ourselves a period of
rest.
This weekend our new Youth and Young
Adult Coordinator, Emily Stuckey will be
introducing herself. She is a wonderful
young woman that we are grateful to have
join us. I am hoping that this month she
gets a chance to meet the people involved
in these ministries as we put our plan into
action in the fall. Now that I am an “older
gentleman” I realized that when I ate lunch
with Emily and Aaron, if I add their ages
together it still is less than my age. It is
great to now have someone on our staff
from each decade. It keeps us fresh and
balanced. I know you will enjoy Emily.
This week is vacation bible school. I hope
everyone enjoys themselves. I will miss
the first three days, because I will be at a
conference on alcoholism in the clergy.
I go every year to keep current in helping
our priests get help when they need it.
Have a Blessed Week! Father Paul

Please pray this Vocation Prayer with a special
intention for our parish member, Jordan Roth,
and her desire to enter religious life!
Father, in the name of Jesus,
through the power of Your Holy Spirit,
inspire men and women to labor for
Your Kingdom.
We especially pray for those discerning
their state in life: single, celibate or
married, religious, ordained or lay.
Inspire them to be generous,
courageous, and joyful.
We pray through the intercession of
Mary, our Mother, St. Ignatius,
and all the saints. Amen.
Jesus Will Bless You... ...your family, and the whole world for this hour of faith
you spend with Him in the Blessed Sacrament. Take
some time each week to visit Jesus in the Divine Eucharist
at the All Saints Perpetual Adoration Chapel. Pray, listen,
and feel the peace that He gives us so lovingly. Break
from your busy life to acknowledge His comforting love.
Please pray about committing to these open times:
Sunday: 12 to 1 PM Thursday: 10 to 11 AM
Friday: 2 to 3 PM
Saturday: 2 to 3 AM (Friday overnight) & 2 to 3 PM
Please contact Mike Thielsen, 815-385-8562 or
[email protected] to volunteer as a permanent adorer.
Usher Ministry Needs You! A friendly, welcoming attitude is all that is needed to be
an usher at our weekend Masses. Ushers serve at one
Mass (your choice) for one month at a time. No meet-
ings to attend—just arrive 30 minutes before the Mass
you are serving and stay a few minutes after Mass to
straighten up the pews. Especially needed are ushers
at the 5 PM Mass on Saturday and the 8 AM Mass on
Sunday. Contact Mike Johnson at 815-477-8408 or
[email protected] if you can help.

Your Gifts Help Families Meet Needs Some of our McHenry neighbors remain under-
employed, despite working several jobs. Working three
part-time jobs and supporting her two young children
and her two brothers, a young mother found herself
short on cash and unable to pay her full rent payment.
Thanks to your generous support of the St. Vincent de
Paul Society, Vincentians were able to pay this family's
rent, allowing them to stay in their apartment. This finan-
cial support was accompanied by food to see the family
through the week and prayers of support and care.
"All they asked was that we should continue to remem-
ber the poor, the very thing I was eager to do." Gal 2:10

Nominate Catholic Woman of Inspiration Every year each parish is given the opportunity to
honor a woman who presents an example of a faith-
filled person who gives outstanding volunteer service
to the parish and community. We all know women
who fill these requirements. She may be the woman
who sits next to us at Mass or works along with us in
a ministry here at the parish or in the community at
large. She is often the face you see quietly working
behind the scenes. This is your chance to recognize
her gifts and talents that she humbly shares. Nomina-
tion forms are available at the Information Center or
Parish Office. Please return your completed form to
the HALO mailbox in the Information Center or to the
Parish Office by July 25th. Our Woman of Inspiration
will be honored at a banquet September 18 at St.
Elizabeth Ann Seton Church. Past honorees are:
Alyce Shay, Jan Phelan, Lavonne Sallaz, Mary Fardella,

meros son figuras relacionadas con el culto del templo;
Significa
ignorar a Dios! Si yo no me acerco a aquel hombre, a
aquella mujer, a aquel niño, a aquel anciano o aquella
¡Gracias!
