Crist is best known for his YouTube sketches Millennial International, 7 Signs You Grew Up Christian, and Road Rage in the Church Parking Lot. Crist's comedy often focuses on Christian subculture. He occasionally uses his comedy to critique problems he sees in the Christian church. Of the church, Crist says, “Man, I love the local church. Growing up serving at my dad’s church, I know the effect that a healthy, vibrant local church can have on the community. If I ever come across as critical, it’s because I love the church and I wish for so much more from it. I think the local church is our only hope for change in America, that said… we do some weird stuff :)”

Proverbs 16:5-6

5 All those who are arrogant are an

abomination to the Lord;

be assured, they will not go unpunished.

6 By loyalty and faithfulness iniquity is

atoned for, and by the fear of the Lord one avoids evil.

FROM CARENET PENINSULA: Your passionate leadership of your Walk 4 Life team blew the roof off! Your team, Grace on Main, Gloucester raised $1396.50 which is 1% of ALL the critical funds raised through this event for our ministry. This year was our largest fundraiser ever, reaching over 97% of our goal. We simply could not have done this without team leaders like YOU! Your dedication will result in many lives and hearts being spared from the devastation of abortion. We are personally so grateful for you, Anne Sych Development Director

Please be in prayer for who could and should serve in our church as both Elders and Deacons. Read last week’s newsletter if you need to review. And please fill out a nomination form and return it to the church office or the offering plate before July 15th.

DON’T FORGET TO FOCUS PRAYER FOR OUR UPCOMING VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL!

This week pray for the Missions Leaders. Pray that these leaders will demonstrate a passion for missions. Ask God to help the kids develop a passion for being missionaries

wherever they go. This week pray for the Craft Leaders. Ask God to give these leaders the words and

direction needed to reinforce each Bible story as the children work. Pray for the leaders to be sensitive to each child and his/her skill level.

Last but not least pray for the Recreation Leaders. Pray for the safety of all leaders and children as they participate. Ask God to use this time to build relationships & good

sportsmanship.

The following note is from Barbara Pearson (Carter Richardson’s Sister): Dear Prayer Shawl Ladies, Well, what a lovely surprise to have on of your “pink” prayer shawls arrive in the mail. The shawl is lovely, and I spent time in it yesterday. It helps so much to know that prayers are being raised up for healing for me. It is Trinity Sunday and it means a lot to know God’s love through others. God’s Peace, Barb Pearson
