THE CHLOROPHYCEAE OF THE BENARES DISTRICT, INDIA--I

THE present communication deals with some of the Chlorophyce~e collected from Benares and its environs during the years 1939, 1940 and 1941. In all twenty-one forms representing sixteen genera have been described, and out of these three forms are new.
