The Changing Climate Show is Science North’s latest immersive object theater based on our award winning and wildly popular Climate Change Show.

Sheepy the slightly sarcastic straight talking animated sheep, narrated by comedian Rick Mercer, returns with a new message about Climate Change:

“It’s here lamby. You can taste it in the grass…”

The Changing Climate Show leads the audience on an exploration of the ongoing effects of climate change on human and natural habitats, and looks for ways humans can meet these

changes with creative and innovative ideas.

The StorySheepy and his friends have a problem. Their pasture is drying up and they need a plan. To aid in their fight against climate change, Sheepy and his friends have created the Fleece-Net, a global network of woolly ungulates, which allows them to benefit from the perspective and wisdom of other sheep around the world.

Alternating between global anecdotes and the hard science of climate change, Sheepy arrives at both a plan and an insight:

“The ideas may come from everywhere, but the solutions to climate change will be local,

because the effects of climate change will be different everywhere.

There is no one size fits all way to adapt to climate change.”

The ExhibitThe New Climate Change Show is a unique, multimedia installation that combines media technologies, theatrical effects and built environments to create experiences that communicate a difficult topic in a memorable, educational, and very entertaining way. Science North’s team of scientific and multimedia experts have conceived and produced these award-winning experiences for over 2 decades.
