From the BBA Prayer Ministry Team Leader We just finished our fall revival with Matthew Skariah, who has lead our fall revival for the last several years. Matthew’s testimony is that God has called him to be an intercessor. He says that intercession is a lonely calling. You spend hours alone with the Father. There is no lime light for the intercessor. But what I’ve noticed about this man is that he has a close intimate relationship with our Lord. When he prays he is connected. He is not just saying words, but he has an audience with the Father. His prayers are not surface prayers, like wadding in the shallows, but they are deep with substance, reminds me if getting chest or neck high in the water. How can a man pray with substance? My observation is that our time spent with the Master will have rewarding results. Time spent in God’s Word, on our knees communicating with Him will bring us into a closer walk with Him. Why am I sharing this? It is because my desire is for all of us to get deeper in our prayer life, take the time to get deeper in the water. If we want intimacy with the Lord, we need to spend more time with Him. Pray for our association!

From the Desk of the DOM; The 105th Annual Meeting was held on October 11, 2015. Business was conducted at FBC Calera and Ministry Booths and Worship were held at FBC Durant. There were about 167 in attendance in the afternoon and it was a great time of fellowship for our association. Thank you to all who attended and served.

Greetings from LTBRM! At LTBRM, we are a ministry first and foremost. We have made some changes regarding our cabin booking policies. As of October 2015, churches will have priority booking for 2016. Churches will have until January 15, 2016 to make reservations, after which it will be open to everyone. As we move in to our off season, we ask that you be in prayer for LTBRM. Due to budget cuts, we have lost half of our support. With the floods that happened at the beginning of the summer we have a lot of work to do to get the grounds back in good shape. Whether it be through prayer, donations, or volunteer work, we ask that your church consider being a part of growing this ministry and reaching out to the community of Lake Texoma. Disaster Relief Serving at Hurricane Joaquin in South Carolina Miss Georgiana Nuss of FBC Cartwright (pictured left) was deployed to South Carolina for Disaster Relief. She has been serving in the Pepper Hill flood area in Charleston. Georgiana is trained for mud-out crew and has been helping in this area as a chaplain during her time in South Carolina. Please keep the state of South Carolina in your prayers as they recover from the recent floods of Hurricane Joaquin. This devastation has been called a “1000 year flood.” Also pray for our local, state, and national Disaster Relief teams as they serve in this greatly needed ministry.
