Sir Simon Milton was the leading local government politician of his generation. Following his untimely death in 2011, a charity was established bearing his name. Five years later, the Sir Simon Milton Foundation is doing some amazing work including addressing isolation and loneliness amongst our older residents through Silver Sunday and in preparing the younger generation for work through training and education.

Silver Sunday has expanded well beyond the bounds of Westminster to a national event. Last year there were over 600 free events nationwide attended by thousands of older people. For younger people, we are enormously proud that the Sir Simon Milton Westminster University Technical College will open in Pimlico in September 2017 and start to train young men and women to become our engineers of the future.
