Recently, Cennox took inward investment from the Business Growth Fund to support our development. The BGF is a UK Government backed initiative, supported by several of the UK’s largest Banks, specifically targeting high growth British organisations.

Cennox were identified as an ideal candidate, appealing to their criteria of investing in strong management teams with strategic funding for organic growth and a backing of an international acquisition strategy. Our Signage offering, formerly known as the Lettering Centre, has been designing and manufacturing signage since 1874, allowing this rich skill set to develop within the Cennox Group through investment in the latest digital infrastructure and securing world class design talent.

This new expansion will enable Cennox to engage in India’s hugely exciting market, one that is witnessing an increasing footprint of ATM estates, demand for installations, engineer & technical support, enhanced ATM Security and cutting edge ATM Branding.

India is one of the fastest growing economies, and as a result the ATM network is expected to grow by over 100,000 over the next few years.

Partnering with the successful Uptime Infratel business, Cennox have seized the opportunity to bring our expertise and wealth of ATM Services to the hugely expanding Indian market. This is a pivotal time in India’s growth, one that is witnessing the investment in infrastructure and the immediate need for ATM companies to support the growing economy.

Part of the acquisition included Sterling Bank Services, the US Field Services business who provide ATM Cleaning, Surveys, Bank Vault Servicing and Bank Equipment Servicing to customers who include Bank of America and Wells Fargo.

With an in-house team of field engineers already covering 48 continental states, Cennox have found in the Sterling Group, an organisation with a portfolio of services which neatly compliments our own and will allow for some exciting cross pollination.

Cennox have been working with a number of major banks in the USA for many years, both through the provision of ATM Parts and also through the deployment of our ASD-8 Anti-Skimming Device. Through our two strategically positioned US offices, Cennox have been building a foot hold in the US market. In December 2013, Cennox were excited to acquire the Sterling Group, based in Missoula, Montana.

Sterling’s ability to deliver their services in-house through their national network of engineers shares a common synergy with Cennox’s USPs of delivering a full end-to-end service with minimal 3rd party involvement.

With the management team at Sterling remaining in place and the Sales and Operations of Sterling Bank Services to continue to be managed through the corporate headquarters in Missoula, the great service and relationships Sterling has with their customers will remain strong, but with the added benefit of options to expand their service offerings to include Cennox’s products.

Our ram raid and vandalism response service provides a rapid and comprehensive solution to the problem of attacked and damaged ATMs.

Many attacked machines can be repaired on site. Cennox operate a fast response service which can bring a machine back into service after a single visit. This is achieved by our experienced engineers operating with a full van kit for the target machine. Where necessary, we send two engineers to site to ensure the fastest possible single visit fix.

Cennox are able to carry a high inventory level of spare parts and are self-sufficient in most cases, making the inconvenience of a vandalised ATM, a resolvable and cost effective occurrence.

Fast Response. Our head office in Camberley is a UK Centre of Excellence.

Complete Project Management. Cennox will liaise with all parties and Police Forces to ensure a swift and satisfactory resolution.

Machine Redeployment. Cennox will work to replace the damaged machines as quickly as possible.

As ATM specialists, we know that regular controlled proactive visits to each ATM location has the potential to improve customer service, drive up income and reduce operating costs.

Traditionally, ATM cleaning involves little more than a hygienic wipe of the machine. We understand that to generate value from a cleaning visit, further tasks should be carried out.

Our team of multi-skilled technicians are able to undertake a range of key services during our regular scheduled maintenance site visits. We understand that to drive ATM transactions a ´cleaning´ visit needs to be more than just a hygienic wipe of the machine. The whole surrounding area, including light box, needs to be cleaned, checked and may need to be repaired. Our trained technicians carry stock items to enable them to fit or repair signage. This will include any ATM stickers which have been damaged or removed.

During each visit our technicians will carry out multi-point maintenance checks on the printer, key pad, card reader and screen. A faded or misaligned screen may not show up on remote alert systems, but will be identified during our visit.

We can test the efficiency of your security devices as an added option, in suspected fraud cases we can carry out an emergency visit across your entire estate to identify if any skimming devices have been fitted, or the ATM has been interfered with in any way.

Our visits are logged online on our ‘Vision’ system, an online visual record of your ATMs and any work we have been instructed to undertake. This provides you with a secure web access to the images taken at each scheduled site visit, enabling you to remotely site manage.

Preventative Maintenance Options. Our engineers will look to undertake any preventative maintenance required on the ATM.

Within one of our ATM workshops, Cennox operate a secure area specifically for software loading and commissioning. With a security controlled software handling process, we are able to provide a reliable and secure pre-commissioning service which dramatically reduces the time required on site. Once released, the machines will arrive on site tested and ready to accept all relevant downloads eliminating extensive delays in the installation process.

With documented processes in place to monitor the constant flow of machines, site visits and ATM parts and consumables, we are able to provide a robust ATM Commissioning service from our own specially modified premises.

Our skilled teams are trained on all of the major ATM models, with frequent manufacturer refresher courses conducted internally to meet the needs and requirements of our customers and changes within the industry.

Our ATM Refurbishment Service is designed to supply the ATM operator with an ‘as new’ ATM at a fraction of the cost of buying a new machine.

Our Refurbishment Centre in Surrey manages hundreds of complete refurbishment projects each month. With each ATM arriving often damaged, dirty and frequently faulty, each machine undertakes a journey through a production line process which ultimately sees them reach the end of the programme looking as if they were straight out of the manufacturers showroom.

With so many new consumable parts replaced during the refurbishment process, the new looking ATM is sold with a new warranty.

Clean & Respray of the shell & Fascia. Our engineers pride themselves on how immaculate each Refurbished ATM looks on leaving the production line.

Replace worn or faulty parts. All items that need replacing are replaced or upgraded where necessary.

The ASD-8, second generation Anti-Skimming Device, has been developed to combat the increasing number of attacks on ATM machines. The ASD-8 is at the cutting edge of ATM protection offering the latest in fraud prevention technologies; from card and cash trapping through to skimming and spy camera detection sensors.

We recognise the level of gain for the criminal fraternity is high and they will be using significant resources available to them to try and beat bank defences. It is for this reason the Cennox Research and Development Team dedicated so much energy and enthusiasm into creating a product which can deliver immediate results, the moment the device is installed.

Using revolutionary technology, the ASD-8 can detect attacks from wireless devices, false card reader head installation, fascia tampering, ‘Cash Claws’, ‘Lebanese Loop’ and drilling devices. Ass soon as an attack is detected, The ASD-8 automatically places the ATM into ‘Supervisor Mode’. The ASD-8 will also automatically bring the ATM back online once the device detects the removal of the threat.

The ASD-8 can notify the customer of the threat after placing the ATM into offline mode, allowing them to take whatever action they feel necessary before bringing the ATM back into service.

The ASD-8 is designed to be upgradable in the field at a fraction of the cost of replacing the entire unit, making it attractive when compared to similar devices available.
