Many, many thanks to all the VBS helpers who made Babylon and Daniel come alive in 2013!

From the Senior Chaplain

Vacation Bible School 2013 was an incredible success. The children brought all their excitement and energy. I could tell by all the bright and happy faces that the story of Daniel and his courageous faith would be remembered for many years to come. Aren’t you glad that the Chapel could have a part in the faith development of so many children?

I could never begin to properly thank all the leaders and volunteers in VBS. They served with grace and truly com-municated the love of Christ. And they were as energetic as the children! The size of each class was challenging but every teacher was more than up to that challenge. I espe-cially give God thanks for Pat and Jeanelle. They planned, they prayed, they recruited and they encouraged. Every vol-unteer gave it their all. What a blessing to see the body of Christ serving in such a wonderful way!

Today is Father’s Day and we give thanks unto God for faith, family and heritage. Apart from the influence and di-rection of my father and grandfather, I cannot image stand-ing in this pulpit today. They were very patient with a boy who could find a lot of trouble. At times, they were probably too gracious and forgiving. On the other hand, I believe they trusted God to complete a work that was far beyond their ability to accomplish. Parents, entrusting your children to God in prayer and faith, will certainly be the best gift you can give. After all, His love for them transcends all the love we could ever imagine.

Big Canoe Chapel is a great place to be. God is at work. We stand amazed and we are blessed beyond measure.

Blessing and peace,

Len
