We were created for community. Human beings are
not meant to be alone. As each of us grows in our
relationship with Jesus, we find ourselves drawn
further into community. Our stewardship never
reflects just on us, but on the Body of Christ to
which we belong.
When speaking to his Father, Jesus always spoke
about all of us as a whole. Jesus has a unique
relationship with each and every one of us, but
he also sees us collectively as one.
...the Holy Spirit ... ascended upon a multitude,
not just one person at a time.
We are called to live a fruitful stewardship way of
life. It is by that fruit that we can tell if we are really
giving of ourselves in a generous manner. However,
the fruits that result from my stewardship and your
stewardship will never amount to more than what we
can produce together.
As you try ever harder to cultivate what God has
given you and offer it back to Him with an increase,
what does your relationship with your parish
community look like? How has your stewardship
helped enable your community to become a clearer
reflection of God? It is important to reflect on these
things because we can sometimes find ourselves
drifting away from community if we are not careful.
We are always stronger together.

PRAYER TO
THE HOLY
SPIRIT
O Lord Jesus Christ, Who,
before ascending into heaven,
didst promise to send the Holy Spirit
to finish Thy work in the souls
of Thy Apostles and Disciples,
deign to grant the same Holy Spirit to me,
that He may perfect in my soul
the work of Thy grace and Thy love.
Grant me the Spirit of Wisdom
that I may despise the perishable things of this
world and aspire only after the things that are
eternal,
the Spirit of Understanding to enlighten my
mind with the light of Thy divine truth,
the Spirit of Counsel that I may ever choose the
surest way of pleasing God and gaining Heaven,
the Spirit of Fortitude that I may bear my cross
with Thee, and that I may overcome with
courage all the obstacles that oppose my salvation,
the Spirit of Knowledge
that I may know God and know myself and grow
perfect in the science of the Saints,
the Spirit of Piety that I may find the service
of God sweet and amiable,
the Spirit of Fear that I may be filled with a loving
reverence towards God, and may dread in any way
to displease Him. Mark me, dear Lord, with the
sign of thy true disciples and animate me in all
things with Thy Spirit. Amen.

Hey ST. MARY,
HELP US KEEP OUR
GRADUATING
HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS
CONNECTED TO THE
CATHOLIC CHURCH.
The Newman Connection
High School Outreach
The Newman Center (Connection) would
like to stay in contact with your high school
graduate while he/she is at college. Many
of our high school students can easily “fall
away” from their Catholic faith during
their college years. The Diocese of
Camden & the Newman Connection wants
to change that! The Newman Connection is
a non-profit organization that works with
Catholic Campus Ministries using a referral
system of connecting graduating high
school students to their Catholic campus
ministry. This allows campus ministers to
contact their incoming students, inviting
them to events or Mass before they arrive
on campus. If you would like the Newman
Connection to reach out to your graduating
high school student this upcoming fall,
please contact Stan Thompson with your
graduating student’s name, email address
and name of campus/college that they will
be attending at (856) 424-0955 or sthomp-
