- Ocotillo, CA is a well known place to ride dirt bikes.- It is just 90 minutes from San Diego.- Over 80,000 acres to explore and go really fast.
Dirt Biking
- Underground caves and caverns represent some of the most unique, fascinating, and cool features of the California Deserts.
- Most of California's caves occur in the limestone formations of the Sierra Nevada's Kings Canyon and Sequoia national parks.
- It can be fun to explore California caves because of the really cool rock formations and you may even see a family of bats.
- Cave exploration can be very dangerous, so be careful when exploring unknown caves.

- There are many animals that can be hunted in the California Desert:- California Desert Big Horn- Mule Deer- Wild Pig- Coyote
Hunting in California Desert
Camping and Hiking- Become one with the desert by camping at
one of many campsites.- When camping in the desert, you may see
snakes, tarantulas, and scorpions.- There are many miles of trails and desert
roads for hiking.- Many different desert State Parks offer
guided and unguided hiking areas.
Rock Climbing- Rock climbing is one of the most popular activities in the California desert.
- It takes super strength and skill to climb rocks.
- It takes a lot of practice to master this sport.
- The most well known place to rock climb is Joshua Tree California in Palm Desert.
