“A Concert of Worship”

Sunday Night, May 1

6:00pm

This Sunday night you will have a unique

opportunity to be a part of a worship experience

led by our Sanctuary Choir and soloists. I have

been looking forward to doing a program like

this for some time now! As you know, our church is blessed with

a great deal of musical talent, and our choir is an integral part of

our worship services each week. As you prepare your heart for

this service, don’t expect to just sit and listen. Unlike any other

medium, music has the power to stir our hearts to affection

towards God, and it is my prayer that through the presentation

of music and scripture, you will encounter the Lord in a deeply

moving way.

On Sunday morning, May 8th, which happens to also be Mother’s

Day, I would like to have a Men’s Choir to honor our Mothers.

Like I mentioned Sunday morning, talent is not a requirement, just

a willing spirit. How else would Brother Chuck and Brother Cliff

be asked to sing in the choir? We will be singing an arrangement

of the traditional hymn “Stand Up, Stand Up for Jesus.” We will

meet in the choir room 20 minutes before the services start.

(First service – 8:10; Second Service – 10:35) I really think this

will be fun! Ladies, your turn will come on Father’s Day, so be

prepared.
