The Broadway SongbookPremiered by the New York Philharmonic to critical acclaim, The Broadway Songbook is an evening of duets with orchestra, devised and conducted by Ted Sperling, featuring three-time Tony nominee Kelli O’Hara, “the most accomplished Broadway ingenue to emerge in years” (The New York Times), and Grammy-winning baritone Nathan Gunn, “a singer of unmistakable star power” (Opera News). Baritone Nathan Gunn, most recently seen in a run of performances at the legendary Café Carlyle, has been featured in the Met’s Live in HD series in The Magic Flute and Roméo et Juliette, and has won international acclaim for his performances of Billy Budd, Hamlet, Così fan tutte, The Marriage of Figaro, and the Barber of Seville. He has also appeared in Camelot with the New York Philharmonic (broadcast on PBS’s Live from Lincoln Center in 2008) and Show Boat at Carnegie Hall. In concert, he has been a featured soloist with the Boston, Chicago, Pittsburgh, Cleveland, San Francisco, and London symphony orchestras.

Kelli O’Hara received her third Tony Award nomination for her portrayal of Nellie Forbush in the Tony Award-winning revival of South Pacific at Lincoln Center. She received Tony Award nominations for The Pajama Game and Light in the Piazza. Other Broadway credits include Follies & The Sweet Smell of Success with John Lithgow. Ms. O’Hara received critical acclaim for her portrayal of Eliza Doolittle in My Fair Lady with the New York Philharmonic. Concerts include Carnegie Hall with the New York Pops and at the Kennedy Center with the National Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Marvin Hamlisch, as well as with the Boston Pops and the Philly Pops.
