CAPES is a public foundation linked to the Ministry of Education, whose mission is to build capacity in higher education and support the training and development of teachers of Basic Education.

What is it?
The Brazilian Scientific Mobility Program "Ciencia sem Fronteiras"is an initiative of the Brazilian Federal Government, which seeks to promote the consolidation, expansion and internationalization of Science and Technology, as well as Brazilian competitiveness, throughout the international mobility;
The Program is a joint implementation of CAPES/CNPq and direct monitoring of the Civil Cabinet.

Invest in the development of skills and competences needed to a knowledge-based economy;
Focus on the national strategic challenges;
Engineering and other areas of technology and innovation.
Objectives
Training up to 101.000 Brazilian students and researchers at the best universities of the world in the field of Science, Technology and Innovation, of which 75.000 are funded by the Federal Government and 26.000 by the private sector;
Promote science, technology, innovation and competitiveness of the country;
Open similar opportunities to foreign scientists and researchers;
Create innovative expertise to industries.
