Community Center Project
The City of Brooksville community center project proposes to purchase and demo existing structures located at 117-119 Miami Street, Brooksville, so a new community center facility can be constructed. An Environmental Assessment was completed on the project to determine environmental impacts of the project. USDA Rural Development has accepted and adopted the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Environmental Assessment (EA) completed by the lead agency, the City of Brooksville, which stipulates a Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI). Mitigation measures stipulated within, and required, under the CDBG EA must be complied with during the construction of the project. Furthermore, all mitigation measures included in the Memorandum of Agreement by and between the City of Brooksville, State Historic Preservation Office, and USDA Rural Development must be complied with, and adhered to, as stipulated within the MOA. Design and construction shall be in compliance with all local, state, and federal environmental statutes, regulations, and executive orders applicable to the project, as well as with Section 106 review and compliance.
