Director• The director of the film is Paul Greengrass.• He started his career directing his first film in 1989 called “Resurrected”.

• Release Date• The Bourne Ultimatum was released in August 17,2007 in the UK.

Mise-en-scene• Jason Bourne wears ordinary clothing as he try's to blend in with the rest

of the crowd in the scene as he is running from the police.• Jason Bourne is shown with blood on his hands and limping as he jumps

off a moving train and this shows he is injured.• Jason Bourne is shown to be running from the police which means he

could be a criminal.• The Russian police costume conforms to the stereotype that they wear

fur.• Jason Bourne has a gun and beats up a police man which shows he is

trained well to take down a police man and dangerous.• Only lighting comes from the street lights which gives an atmosphere of

danger and puts the audience on edge as anything can just pop up. • The Russian police man face has fear in it as Jason Bourne points a gun

at him and this shows Jason Bourne is dangerous.• Jason Bourne is able to use the medicine and medical equipment to help

himself which shows he is smart.

Sound• Fast paced walking builds up dramatic tension.• The crunching of snow makes it more realistic.• Police car sirens build up tension and create the sense that

Jason Bourne is a criminal.• Police man are shouting making the chase more intensive.• The tempo of the music increases building the tension.• Jason Bourne breaths heavily showing he is out of breath and

not in the right condition to run from the police.• Jason Bourne jumps off a train and shouts as he lands on his

leg. This shows he is not in a fit condition and in danger.• Smashing of the medicine bottles shows how frantic he is to

stop his pain.

Camera angles and movement• Establishing shot of the highway and the railway.• Close up on the mans feet, shows he is on the move, slowly

trying to get away.• Close up on his face shows he is worried and in pain.• Group shot of the police shows how many men they need to

stop Jason Bourne as he is very dangerous.• Medium close up shows he is straining himself to get away.

Editing• The title says where the place is-Moscow, Russia.• Flashbacks are shown through jump screens, each one goes

past very quickly.• Flashbacks are distorted and suggest that the man is having

difficulty. • Put in English subtitles to help people understand what the

Russian police are saying.
