James 2:6-10 Wednesday Night February 6, 2013

6 But you have dishonored the poor man. Do not the rich oppress you and

drag you into the courts?

7 Do they not blaspheme that noble name by which you are called?

8 If you really fulfill the royal law according to the Scripture, "You shall

love your neighbor as yourself," you do well;

9 but if you show partiality, you commit sin, and are convicted by the law as

transgressors.

  10 For whoever shall keep the whole law, and yet stumble in one point, he is

guilty of all.

against you falsely for My sake. 12 Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven, for so they persecuted 

the prophets who were before you. 

Romans 1:16-1716 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, 

for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and 

also for the Greek. 17 For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is 

written, "The just shall live by faith."  

Matthew 10:32-3332 "Therefore whoever confesses Me before men, him I will also confess before My Father who is in heaven. 33 But whoever denies Me before men, him I will also deny before My 

Father who is in heaven.

Matthew 5:43-4843 "You have heard that it was said, 'You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.'  44 But I say to you, love your enemies, bless 

those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use

you and persecute you, 45 that you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust. 46 For if you love those who love you, what reward have you? Do not

even the tax collectors do the same? 47 And if you greet your brethren only, what do you do more than others? Do not even the tax collectors do so? 48 Therefore you shall be perfect, just as your Father in 

heaven is perfect. 

Romans 13:10"Love does no harm to a neighbor; therefore 

love is the fulfillment of the law" 

Galatians 5:14-1514 For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this: "You shall love your neighbor as yourself."  15 But if you bite and devour 

one another, beware lest you be consumed by one another!

partiality. 35 But in every nation whoever fears Him and works righteousness is

accepted by Him. 36 The word which God sent to the children of Israel, preaching peace through Jesus Christ--He is Lord of

especially those who labor in the word and doctrine. 18 For the Scripture says,

accusation against an elder except from two or three witnesses. 20 Those who are sinning rebuke in the presence of all, that the rest also may fear. 21 I charge you

before God and the Lord Jesus Christ and the elect angels that you observe these things without prejudice, doing nothing 

with partiality.

witnessed by the Law and the Prophets, 22 even the righteousness of God, 

through faith in Jesus Christ, to all and on

all who believe. For there is no difference; 23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24 being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is 

in Christ Jesus... 

Romans 8:3-43 For what the law could not do in that it was weak through the flesh, God did by sending His own Son in the likeness of 

sinful flesh, on account of sin: He condemned sin in the flesh, 4 that the

righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us who do not walk 

according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.

2 Corinthians 12:9-109 And He said to me, "My grace is 

sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness." Therefore most 

gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon

me. 10 Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ's sake. For when I am weak, then I am 

strong. 

1 John 1:9-109 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a 

liar, and His word is not in us.
