Use your Library Password
to connect your laptop to the
Bodleian Libraries wifi or Ethernet, and
to login to library PCs
Your username is the 7-digit number on your University card
Your default password is your date of birth in the format 16OCT1988
You need to reset your password @ https://register.bodleian.ox.ac.uk/
Use your Single Sign On issued by IT Services to access online resources off-campus
and to login to SOLO (the library catalogue)
OR, for off-campus access, use Remote Access Account for
VPN (register & install software from IT Services website)

• The E-Book Library (EBL)– growing collection of e-books from major academic publishers. Also
provides 5 mins free browse to over 200,000 "non-owned" books in the collection, with the option to send purchase requests to library staff.
• Oxford Scholarship Online – contains scholarly books, published by Oxford University Press, in the
humanities and social sciences with full texts of over 1,000 key titles

• OxLIP+ Keyword searching of up to 5 Oxford databases – Limited to certain databases– Retrieval is unwieldy
• SOLO Journal Articles Search – Rough and ready– Produces poor results in many cases– Could be used as a “mop-up” search
