– a tool to encourage reflection and feedback

Skill training in clerkship is a significant part of health education.
At the Dental Hygienists Education at Aarhus University the students are keeping an online journal during their clerkship.
Journal documentation is an obligatory assignment and the journals are continuously commented by the teachers for feedback.
The journal was used to support the students’ ongoing reflections during the clerkship.
Outcomes • Journal supports the students reflections during clerkships • Provides the student with punctual feedback • Feedback/feed forward impacts the students reflections and
behaviour during their clerkships • Resource and time consumption
Perspective • Novel inside knowlegde for teacher on clerkship • Better collaboration oppertunities • Identification of troubled students
