Wakefield Socialist History Group have a meeting on Saturday 3rd December—The Politics of Antonio Gramsci 1-4pm Shadow Chancellor, John McDonnell with Labour constituency Chair Kevin Swift and Trades Council President, Neil Taylor in October 2016. Its that time of year again! The Labour Club Committee would like to wish our members and supporters a Very Merry Christmas! Have some fun in our Red Shed in the festive season. And have a Happy New Year!!! Thank You for 2016!!! We had a very successful 50th birthday and that is due to all who were involved in the project throughout the year. The Club will launch a book about our 50 years history on December 18th all members are welcome from 7.30pm and the book costs £5 a copy. A good prezzie from Santa this year.

An open Microphone night will be held on Christmas Eve with all welcome for a Christmas knees up! The January edition will be on Saturday 28th.

The Red Shed Rantomime.

The Red Shed Players are holding their annual anarchy

in the Club on the evenings of January 7th and 8th.

Young Labour 13th January, 2017.

There will be a showing of Ken

Loach’s film, “I Daniel Blake,” in the

Club on this night and not only the

young uns are welcome there is an

open invitation to see this landmark

production.

The Socialist History group have a

meeting on Saturday 28th January

about Robert Burns and other

radical poets. Free entry 1pm to

4pm.
