9.1.2 - Continued 14 April Attended Pastor Frank Ludlow’s Funeral. Attended Mrs Joan Fisher’s Funeral. 15 April Attended Mr Norm Banks’ Funeral. Met with Mr Patrick Secker with other members of the Berri Barmera Waste Water Re-Use Committee. 16 April Together with Crs Centofanti, Nelsson and Hunt attended the Special Celebration of the Sikh Community’s Vaisakhi Day. In the evening I attended the Businesswoman of the Year Awards Dinner, held in the Renmark Hotel, and hosted by the Zonta Club of the Riverland.

17 April Accepted an invitation to visit “Paringa House” at Paringa. Crs Centofanti and Nelsson accompanied me. We were most impressed with this beautifully restored Homestead, and were shown the B & B accommodation which is very special.

18 April Attended the Funeral of past Loxton Councillor Erwin Achmuller. He was also a very dedicated member of the Murray Darling Association.

19 April Attended Mrs Nellie Moritz’s Funeral. CEO and I attended a Dinner hosted by the Economic Development Board

held at Renmark 26th April Met with the “Circle of Courage” Group (Youth Group) Thank you to Councillors who attended the Dawn Service at Barmera on behalf of Council

Inc. to redevelop the present 6 synthetic courts with 5 new Rebound Ace surfaces for multipurpose use as Tennis Courts in summer and Netball Courts in winter.

and Sport Facility Program. This was for Council’s Skate Park Project and advised that the application for $100,000 funding was unsuccessful.

MOTION: (289/05)

That M/s G & G Matthews be advised that Coates Road is currently a gravel road, maintained in a satisfactory condition. Council shall conduct a traffic count study at the appropriate time of the year to assess the traffic load on this road and the priority for this road shall be reviewed together with other Council roads. In addition, traffic road counts throughout the district are to be undertaken together with a review of the assessment criteria used to establish the road program priorities.

12.1.9 REF: I050322-994 14.36.1 SUBJECT: Mr & Mrs Thompson –Section 213 Costello Road, Loveday – Re conversion of the Pipeline Reserve to public road, section 1012 (Pipeline Reserve) hundred of Loveday. OFFICER: MWTS

MOTION: (290/05)

That Council write to CIT, the owner of the Pipeline Reserve (connecting Yeo Road) seeking an agreement for utilizing/declaring the Pipeline Reserve as a public access road for approximately ten properties located on the south side of Yeo road due to the fact that there is no access from the southern end due to dense protected vegetation. That the writer be advised that once such an agreement is reached between Council and CIT, necessary maintenance shall be carried out.
