Met with Mr Patrick Secker with other members of the Berri Barmera Waste Water Re-Use Committee. 16 April Together with Crs Centofanti, Nelsson and Hunt attended the Special Celebration of the Sikh Community’s Vaisakhi Day. In the evening I attended the Businesswoman of the Year Awards Dinner, held in the Renmark Hotel, and hosted by the Zonta Club of the Riverland.

17 April Accepted an invitation to visit “Paringa House” at Paringa. Crs Centofanti and Nelsson accompanied me. We were most impressed with this beautifully restored Homestead, and were shown the B & B accommodation which is very special.

18 April Attended the Funeral of past Loxton Councillor Erwin Achmuller. He was also a very dedicated member of the Murray Darling Association.

19 April Attended Mrs Nellie Moritz’s Funeral. CEO and I attended a Dinner hosted by the Economic Development Board

held at Renmark 26th April Met with the “Circle of Courage” Group (Youth Group) Thank you to Councillors who attended the Dawn Service at Barmera on behalf of Council

Council shall conduct a traffic count study at the appropriate time of the year to assess the traffic load on this road and the priority for this road shall be reviewed together with other Council roads. In addition, traffic road counts throughout the district are to be undertaken together with a review of the assessment criteria used to establish the road program priorities.

That the writer be advised that once such an agreement is reached between Council and CIT, necessary maintenance shall be carried out.

Pursuant to Section 83(5) of the Local Government Act 1999, this report entitled “Barmera Industrial Land” is listed to be considered in confidence under part 3 of the Act, and thus is listed as a confidential report until otherwise determined by the Council.

If the Council considers that the report, discussion at the Meeting and Minutes should remain confidential and considered in confidence under Part 3 (Section 90 (2)) of the Local Government Act 1999, then the following resolution must be adopted by the Committee before discussing or considering the report. MOTION: (299/05) 1: That pursuant to Section 90 (3)(d)(i) and Section 91(7) of the Local Government

Act 1999, the Council orders the public to be excluded, with the exception of the Chief Executive Officer, Manager for Environmental and Inspectorial Services, Manager Corporate and Community Services, Manager of Works and Technical Services and the Executive Assistant being present on the basis that it will receive, discuss and consider information relating to a report on “Barmera Industrial Land” and that the Council is satisfied with the principal that the meeting should be conducted in a place open to the public has been outweighed in relation to this information and matter by the need to keep the discussion and consideration of the information and matter confidential.

2: That pursuant to Section 90 (3)(d)(i) and Section 91(7) of the Local Government

Act 1999, the Council orders that the report relating to agenda item number 17.1.1 be kept confidential on the basis that the report deals with information received regarding “Barmera Industrial Land” on the basis of the following:

That the matter involves … Commercial information of a confidential nature that would, if disclosed – (i) Prejudice the commercial position of the person who supplied it
