have hoped for! The total so far is a brilliant £3930 . If you
would still like to contribute please visit: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/belham-fun-run-2019
We're now moving into the 'final phase' of the garden -
finishing touches to the watering system and then, finally,
planting! Watch this space for dates to come and get
involved – we look forward to seeing our beautiful garden
flourish, knowing you played a part in making it happen!
CLEAN AIR DAY
It's Clean Air Day next Thursday 20 June! Air pollution
affects you from your first breath to your last, as the
damage to our health can start when we are a baby and
continue into old age. But if we work together we could
have cleaner air and healthier futures. Clean Air Day will
take place on 20 June, with thousands of people coming
together to raise awareness about how to tackle air
pollution and start creating cleaner air for everyone. We're
getting involved and doing our bit by having a stand in the
playground after school on Clean Air Day. Parents will be
able to fill in a pledge card with their children with one thing
they could to do to make a difference to air quality.
We'd love your help to mark Clean Air Day by filling in a
pledge card after school on 20th or online
at https://www.southwark.gov.uk/environment/air-

Two weeks into the second half of the Summer term and
already it’s proving to be an action packed end to the year!
The Friends of Belham organised yet another incredibly
successful event that involved pupils putting on their
running shoes to raise money for a good cause.
Unfortunately I could not be there to cheer the runners on
but several people have shared their experiences of the
day with me and highlighted how resilient, modest and
proud our pupils were whilst taking part in the Fun Run. I
would like to say a huge well done to all of our Belhamites
(young and old) who made this event so successful, a big
thank you to everyone who has donated money, the
proceeds of which are going towards developing our
Laneway, and an even bigger thank you to our wonderful
parents and FoB who organised the Fun Run.
