An intense story of love, hatred, spiritualism and politics

Gyanganj is a mystical, secret and pure place located somewhere in remotest part of the Himalayas, in a different dimension inaccessible to common people. It provides a perfect place of purity and serenity for many immortal sages to perform austerity and make spiritual progress towards God realization.

Ravi, the protagonist is an avid trekker and mountain-crazy. During his trek to the Satopanth Tal in the Himalayas, he had some strange experiences which threw his life into a bottomless vortex.Riya, a beautiful Punjabi girl; soft, caring and compassionate. She was happy leading a cosy life with her dotting parents until she met Ravi.

Raghu: A small boy from fifteenth century who lived with his widowed mother. One day while returning from his school, he found a saint waiting for him on the roadside. The saint accompanied him to meet his mother. This visit of the saint completely changed the course of Raghus life.Princess Lata: She lived a restricted life inside the palace after the death of her father. Hearing the arrival of a mysterious saint in their kingdom Mayurpura, she sneaked out of the palace to have his darshan. His radiance and brilliance completely mesmerised the princess.

In the kingdom of Mayurpura, the poor peasants suffered at the hands of demonic Akash for years.

The peaceful protest of the youths against these atrocities was ruthlessly annihilated by Akash using the kings army.

The Beckoning of Gyanganj is a touching and engrossing story of Ravi, Riya, Princess Lata, the people of Mayurpura and the saints from Gyanganj.
