The Beatles
The Beatles were an English rock band, formed in Liverpool in 1960.
The initial formation was John, Paul, George, Stuart and Pete.
Stuart left the group in 61, and Pete was replaced by Starr.

Beatlemania is a term originally used to
describe the intense fan frenzy of the Beatles.
The term acquired a broader meaning,
referring to the strong global interest in the
band, occurring at rates unprecedented in
history.
Presley, Dylan, and "We're more popular than Jesus Christ"
Elvis Presley asked the President Richard Nixon that he forbade the entry of
The Beatles in the United States.
Peter Guralnick wrote, "The Beatles, Elvis seconds, [...] were anti-American. They
came to America, made fortune, and returned to England”.
In contrast, Bob Dylan said: "America must build statues of the Beatles. They
helped bring back the pride of the country.“
After the interview that Lennon gave and said that the Beatles were more popular
than Jesus Christ, fundamentalist Christians were angry about the sentence of
Lennon and protested. Later, John publicly apologized for the statement and was
forgiven by Pope Benedict XVI.
