Spring 2019
Congratulations to Paula Parrish, JCC’s 2018
Faculty of the Year! We’re proud of you, Paula!
The BAT Department would like to
offer a heartfelt “thank you” to our
Advisory Board members and those
able to attend our annual Advisory
Board dinner on March 19. We
value our board members and en-
courage their participation in our
programs. If you would like to get
more involved, please contact the
faculty member affiliated with your
program of interest.
Please join me in welcoming Matthew
Gargano, Business Administration In-
structor, to BAT. Mr. Gargano , who
came on board in January, is a dynamic
instructor that brings a lot of enthusi-
asm to his classes. Welcome, Matthew!
OST 289, which is the capstone course for the Office
Administration program, allows students to job shadow in
the community. If you know of a business interested in
participating next spring, please let Paula know.

Widening pathways: Mr. Oliver and Mr. Flores, our full-time

BAT Program Spotlight: Accounting and Finance
The Accounting and Finance curriculum is designed to provide students
with the knowledge and the skills necessary for employment and growth
in the accounting profession. Using the "language of business," account-
ants assemble and analyze, process, and communicate essential infor-
mation about financial operations. Both degree and certificates can be
completed online. Please contact Mrs. Gwen Green (919-209-2005) or
Mr. Scott Creech (919-209-2541).
