• The Aztecs relative location was in the Valley of Mexico

• The Aztecs modern-day country is Mexico

Government

• The form of government they had clans of families with strict class structures

• The leader is the Tlatoani or “The Great Speaker” and higher up is a king

Religion

• Some of the Aztec gods are the rain god (Tloloc) the wind god (Quetca) and the hummingbird god

• They believed in human sacrifice and building pyramids.

Agriculture

• Some crops are maize, sweet potatoes, tomatoes, avocados, beans, herbs, peanuts, squash, peppers, fruits, chocolate, and flowers

• Some Domesticated animals are dogs, turkey, ducks, quails, and geese

• They also grew crops in chinampas, and at celebrations people drank beer

• Some cultural contributions are sculptures and paintings

• Some scientific contributions are herbal and spiritual healing and medicine
