THE AUBURN WEST DRUM PRINCIPAL’S MESSAGE Meet the Teacher/BBQ Thank you to all our parent community who came to our ‘Meet the Teacher’ information sessions last week; it was wonderful to see many families in the school for both K-2 and 3- 6 information sessions. We hope that the parents who came to the meeting sat on some of our new furniture in our classrooms. We had many positive comments about all of our beautiful classrooms. We also really pleased that many families joined us for the BBQ each night. Thank you to Ms Galvin for organising the BBQ, Mr Gary for cooking hundreds of sausages, Mrs Jalili for making many sandwiches and all the teachers who helped with the BBQ. Staff Carpark A reminder to all parents and children to walk through the pedestrian gates and not through the staff carpark; for safety reasons no students or parents should walk through the car park at any time. Star Badge Congratulations to all 78 students who received a star badge this week. Our updated Star Badge criteria will mean that many more students have the opportunity to receive a Star Badge this year from a class teacher or specialist teacher.
