    Background

    Diabetic autonomic neuropathy (DAN) is a

    common complication of diabetes mellitus.

    Manifestations of DAN include erectile

    dysfunction, orthostatic hypotension,gastroparesis, etc.

    Erectile dysfunction (ED) is the inability to

    achieve or maintain an erection sufficient forsatisfactory sexual performance.

    The etiology of ED are vasculogenic,

    psychogenic, neurogenic and endocrinologic

    disease.

    ED and DAN in diabetic patients in

    Semarang Hospital.

    Methods and Subjects

    A cross sectional study

    Subjects are diabetic patients, age

    Pressure (BP) measurement in stand up and

    bed position for DAN.

    Confirmed DAN if systolic or diastolic BP was

    different at the first and second examination. Data were analyzed with SPSS.

    Results

    We collected 35 subjects,

    Positive ED were 30 subjects (85,7%).

    Mean score of ED were 12.375,493

    Minimum score 5 and maximum score 24.

    Conclusions

    Our study showed that there were no

    association between ED and DAN, and also

    severity of ED and DAN.
