GREETINGS! Kutztown University has a proud history of excellence in the arts. Last year, we formed the KU Arts Society to assist in continuing our long-standing tradition of providing high-quality arts events to the region. Among the many exciting and engaging programs and events you’ll discover in the following pages is the new, enhanced collaboration between KU’s many different departments and organizations that present arts opportunities for the community.

KU Presents! continues to provide world-class programs to our subscribers and patrons. Through the growing collaboration fostered by the Arts Society, this brochure has been expanded to include many other high-caliber arts offerings that you’re invited to attend. From shows happening in the university art galleries, to concerts presented by our talented student ensembles in the music department, to fun trips hosted by the KU Arts Society and their PLAY events for area K-12 schools, the arts events at KU have never been more varied, diverse, open and inclusive.

The Arts Society currently supports a wide range of initiatives and events; as they grow, so will their ability to bolster the performing and fine arts offerings. Ann Marie and I are pleased to join Sandy and Pat Corpora as founding members of this new and exciting organization and we hope you will join us as well in supporting the Kutztown University Arts Society. To learn more, please contact Bryan Zellmer, director of KU Presents!, at 610-683-1580 or at [email protected].

Thank you for your support of the arts and my best wishes for an enjoyable and entertaining year.

Dr. Kenneth S. Hawkinson University President
