2008

Started in 2008 by four coffee

lovers with a small seasonal

location on Kelley’s Island, a

popular boating and vacationing

spot in Lake Erie.

2009

A second location was

opened in 2009 on the popular

downtown promenade, East 4th

Street in Cleveland. Surrounded

by some of Cleveland’s hottest

restaurants and night life as well

as a number of businesses, it

has become one of Cleveland’s

highest profile cafes and has

garnered best coffee shop in

Cleveland Magazine.

2010

A third location was opened a

year later in Rocky River, an

upscale westside suburb. This

location has become one of the

highest volume coffee shops

in all of Northeast Ohio.

2011

A fourth Location was opened

in 2013 in partnership with

Constantino’s Café and currently

Channel 3 continues to run a daily

morning banner ad promoting the

Erie Island brand, their Channel 3

Morning Blend, and Heinens the

retailer that has graciously been

a big supporter of the line and a

participant in these fundraising

efforts. This advertising helps raise

awareness for all facets of the Erie

Island brand, (Our shops, Retail sales,

and Proudly Serving opportunities).

2012

In 2012 Caruso’s Coffee acquired the sole ownership of the

Erie Island brand, trademarks and logos and all rights associated

with the Brand.

Since early 2012 Caruso’s and WKYC Channel 3 have had a

partnership promoting their morning show while also raising

money for the Cleveland Food bank. To date we’ve raised over

$20,000 dollars for this cause through the retail sale of the

WKYC Morning Blend Coffee marketed under Erie Island Coffee.

Licensees must follow a few minor requirements to

ensure consistency from location to location:

• Exclusive use of Erie Island blends and

coffees produced solely by Caruso’s Coffee.

No outside coffees or coffee brands can be

sold or promoted in an Erie Island Coffee

Shop or Kiosk.

• Exclusive use of approved Erie Island vendors

and products available through Caruso’s

Coffee or sold directly to the stores.

• Employees must be appropriately dressed

and the shop is to be kept clean and neat

at all times.

• We do not dictate food or menu. We leave

that up to the individual licensees to decide

how elaborate or simple they want their food

offering to be. We provide only as much

input with regards to food as is asked of us.

Otherwise we leave you to decide who to use

for all of those needs.

• Marketing initiative must be coordinated

through our design company 42Connect and

approved by Caruso’s Coffee prior to printing,

publishing, distribution.

• Use of the brand and logo is limited to

the coffee shop location and marketing
