Ryan Fejedelem

A little about me. My name is Ryan Fejedelem I am

a senior here at Saint Xavier University, getting a de-

gree in biology. I also played four years of collegefootball here. That is where I got my inspiration for

my main project the Oregon football player. I learn

a lot about myself in this class it being my rst and

only art class of my life. I learned that I actually have

creativity. That is not something that I am able to use

very often being a Biology Major and having to beprecise in all of my work. I very much enjoyed this

class and would like to thank Professor Peck for that.

I dedicate this magazine to my family I love you

guys.

We learned to move

and draw the way that

we can by practicing

I very much enjoyedthis process and it

made it way easier

to learn the material,

This is a screen shot of a 100 stroke drawing that I did in class. I

call this drawing Wine glass 100 line drawing. it was actually 102lines though. I chose this drawing to describe because I think

that it is the best one that I did. it took me a very long time to cre-ate the reality that this inanimate object was 3d. I don't considerit perfect but I like the way that I was able to blend the curves ofthe lines to make this wine glass look more like it has a middlesection. I chose to do a wine glass because it was placed in front

of me in class, no particular preference to it. I also like in thisdrawing of mine the fact that I was able to use curved lines, es-pecially in the top section, I feel that it gives it a look that it couldhold liquid. These are my 100 stroke drawings and I hope youenjoyed them.

I chose this drawing to describe, I call thisdrawing upside down pepper shaker lightdrawing. This is the drawing that took me byfar the longest to do, it was also the nal one

I did. I was happy seeing that, at lest to me Iprogressively got better the more that I drew.To me this drawing represents a very strangecup that takes your mind to different places,

the interesting part of this is the way that thelight hit the cup from the bottom making thebottom darker than the top. the part that tookme the longest was the indention on the bot-tom, going with the curve. I wanted to repre-sent the curve and also the way that the light

was hitting it. Who knows if i did that but I tried.

This is sushi in the dark revised. I wanted to point out that I know that

everyone elses drawings look better than mine, but it is not by a lackof trying. I do try very hard and put a good amount of time into everypeice, i guess i am just not that good at it. Sorry about that.

This drawing is named sushiin the dark. This was the draw-ing that i started in class lastWednesday, i thought that wewhere supposed to choose differ-

ent colors from the wheel that weliked, to do the drawing. It turnedout that we where supossed toonly use one color. It workedout in the end and I was able touse this drawing as my different

colors on the same side of the

wheel drawing. I named it sushiin the dark because i thought thatit represented eating sushi in thedark with the way that I used thedark shades in the background.

This Drawing is named SUPERSTAR MAN. I know that it is not madtruly out of shapes but, i was work-

ing on the character just for fun, and

this assignment came up. I thoughtthat it would be an awesome idea toplace him in space, ying on stars

with some suns and planets in thebackground. I do not know why but

for some reason the character savedas a screen shot, i do not rememberdoing this but it was probably humanerror. This is the reason that it doesnot look perfectly covered in black inthe background. i do know to do the

layers but was not able to because onthe picture being saved not the ac-tual drawing. All in all i am very happywith the way that it turned out, i verymuch like the way that super hero

looks with his veins popping and hav-ing stars for hands. I think it is inter-esting, and i hope that others do aswell.

This is my work for the traceproject so far. I call it Oregon all

star. The rst thing to come to

my attention in this drawing isthe hands, it took a very long tineto decide how to make a look ofshinny glare so that they wouldlook very close to the picture. I

decided to use the gradient tookon the hands to make a feel ofa glare. I like the way that thisactually came out i feel that thehands stick out and look nice. i

still have some work to do in theeffect of the jersey i want to nd

a way that it sticks out more sothan it does now i may try andchange some of the colors in it. iuses a gradient tool on the entire

helmet and am very happy withthe way that it turned out. I likethe way that the different sizes

pop looking almost 3D.

The future of football. This is my favorite variation that I have

done so far. I still have some work to do on other variationsputting some color in and am working on those but so far thisone is my favorite. I did this by using the sharp effect tool, thenI used the stand glass effect tools, then i used the painted edg-es effects. I really like the way that this drawing looks i called itthe future of football because it reminds me of futuristic movies

and i feel like this is how the NFL will look in twenty years. It

also make the image look distorted but i like that about it.
