What does the Levy mean for your business?

• Apprenticeships are now at the very top of the Government agenda with the aim of for providing employees with high quality technical and vocational training, closing widening skills gaps and increasing the productivity of businesses across all business sectors.

• From March 2017, larger employers with a payroll in excess of £3 million will pay into a mandatory levy pot at a rate of 0.5% of their wage bill.

Employer with Payroll in excess of £3Millions

• Levy funding can only be spent with approved high-quality training providers such as Pathway College.

• If you are a larger sized employer, you will need to find ways to create a tangible return on any investment by partnering with the right training provider to design and deliver quality Apprenticeship programmes that meet your business needs and that can provide Apprentices that bring real value to your organisation.

Smaller Employers with a payroll of less than £3 million

• Smaller Employers will receive an allowance of £15,000 and will therefore will not pay any Levy contribution but will continue to pay their Apprenticeship employer contributions, which will be approximately one-third towards the cost of the training of an Apprenticeship.

• As a provider that is currently delivering Apprenticeship and working closely with SMEs to maximise funding, Pathway College can guide you through the process of accessing the Levy pot and a range of financial incentives to make sure that hiring Apprentices makes good business sense and enhances your organisational capabilities.
