Shine (Grades 6-8) Series: “Love Is”Our current Shine Series is called “Love Is…”. During this Shine series, the middle school youth will see the commandments not as restrictions but as a path to learn how to treat one another and have the proper mindset toward the material objects in their lives. This type of love leads to the freedom that they find when they follow Jesus and love one another properly. Shine is our program for middle school students. At Shine, middle school teens grow through the relevant message of the Gospel. Teens then meet in small groups where they ask questions and discuss the message as it applies to their lives. All middle school youth are invited to attend the Sunday 5pm Mass together and then attend Shine until 7:30 pm. To register for Shine go to StMichaelChurch.net/Shine

Awaken High School Series: “Change” Current Awaken Series: “Change”Jesus wants to change you for the better every time you walk through the doors of the church for Mass. Our Awaken High School Series is about encountering Jesus in the Mass and being changed by Him, about what changes we need to make in how we approach the Mass, and what we do after Mass has concluded. Awaken is our program for high school students. At Awaken, high school students hear a weekly message and then process it in their small groups to help deepen their faith before they go off to college or wherever life takes them. All high school youth are invited to attend the Sunday 5pm Mass and then attend Awaken until 7:30 pm. To register for Awaken go to StMichaelChurch.net/

Help Needed! We need more CLOW Volunteers.Any adult or youth ages 16 and older (especially parents of children who regularly attend Children’s Liturgy of the Word at either the 9:00 am or the 11:00 a.m. Mass), who would like to share their Catholic faith with the children of our parish during these 24-minute sessions, are encouraged to contact Maria Reynolds or Lana Jezierski to learn more about becoming a part of this special children’s ministry!

Our fi rst Children’s Mass this year is Sunday, October 6, at 9am! Children’s Mass takes place the fi rst Sunday of select months during the school year. At this Mass, children ages 5 and older are invited to sit on the steps that lead to the altar during the homily. Children also participate in the Children’s Choir, as lectors and gift bearers. Our next Children’s Mass is November 3. Please contact Maria Reynolds for more information.
