On July 16, 1969 people around the world watched in awe as NASA launched a three-man crew with the intent to set foot on the moon. This audacious, successful journey began at Kennedy Space Center. The Apollo 50th Gala, benefitting the Aldrin Family’s ShareSpace Foundation and Astronaut Scholarship Foundation, will bring together astronauts, space luminaries, business leaders and celebrities under the historic Saturn V rocket at Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex.

The Apollo 50th Gala is part of the official week-long series of celebrations honouring the legacy of the Apollo program, today’s innovations in space exploration and tomorrow’s explorers.
