After all the Olympics only come around

every 4 years.

Rich Foster is not only one of the GPSM

instructors and Advisory Committee

Members, he is also an attorney, practicing

in Long Beach, California. Rich’s specialty

is Sport Law and has been heavily involved

in the aquatic sports. He is the former Pres-

Water Polo venue to be built for an

Olympic Games.

Rich is now back in the U.S and will be a

panelist at the UCLA Sports Law

Federation Lunchtime Series on August

30th, where he will be discussing this

year’s Games, as well as some

Just one week after the ROC,

students from LT 23 attended

the Internship Roundtable.

Students spent the evening

networking with professionals

from 11 different organiza-

tions within the Southern

California area. The Internship

Roundtable is also one of the

many ways our alumni stay

connected with the GPSM

program. Alumni currently

working in the sport industry

are invited as recruiters to help

our new students land

internships with their company.

Organizations such as Special

Olympics Southern California,

ESPN X-Games, and LBSU

Athletics have a history of

recruiting our Sport Manage-

ment students and have

remained closely connected with

the program through our alumni.

Throughout the night students

were able to exchange business

cards and develop relationships

with sport industry professionals

in hopes to land their dream

internship.
