Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,
As we come to the end of the Easter season, our next
major Holy-Day is the Feast of Pentecost on June 8th.
Pentecost is the Jewish Feast which occurs fifty days
after Passover, and which was the day the Spirit of God
was poured out upon the disciples. In Acts, chapter 1,
we read of Jesus’ ascension and His promise of the
Spirit.
“Gathering them together, He commanded them not
to leave Jerusalem, but to wait for what the Father
had promised, ‘Which,’ He said, ‘you heard of from
Me; for John baptized with water, but you will be
baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from
now… but you will receive power when the Holy
Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My
witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and
Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth.’
And after He had said these things, He was lifted up
while they were looking on, and a cloud received
Him out of their sight.” Acts 1:4-5, 8-9 (NASB)
Healing Services
I would like to suggest that we have a time of prayer
for healing and anointing during both services on Sun-
day, June 8th. After the sermon, we will take time to
pray for those who want to receive healing or infilling
with the Holy Spirit. So, let’s begin to ask God to send
His Spirit upon us again!
Provincial Assembly 2014
Delegates from our diocese will gather in Pittsburgh
the last week of June for the triennial meeting of the
leadership of the Anglican Church in North America. It
will be at this meeting that Bob Duncan will retire from
being Archbishop and the new Archbishop will be an-
nounced. Gus Haddad and David Etzold are lay dele-
gates and I am a clerical delegate to the Provincial
Council and the Assembly. Please pray for God’s Spirit
to guide us all as we seek God’s direction for the
ACNA.
Men of Christ Monthly Dinner
The gathering of the Men of Christ this month will be
held at 6 p.m., on Thursday, June 12, at the home of
Bruce Meyer at 813 Forest Willow Circle.
McKee Chapel
This year we received a special grant from the McKee
Foundation to repair the decades-old stained glass win-
dow coverings on McKee Chapel. Many thanks to
Dave Baker and Baker Glass for their fine work! The
effect is not only beautiful from the outside, but much
lighter inside the Chapel.
Border Fellows Departure
We will be sad to lose Savannah Eaves as our Border
Fellows Director, who is getting married and moving
to New York. Our Border Fellows will be finishing
their ten month commitment to serving in our commu-
nity on June 6th. It has been wonderful to have Carmen
Thunem, Lindsey Goodrich, and Tessa Valadez among
us, and we will miss them all as they follow the Lord’s
leading to new endeavors.
Welcome Julie Haddad
We are delighted to have Julie Haddad on our church
staff as bookkeeper. Julie is in our choir and has been a
member of St. Clement’s her entire life. She has many
years of experience in accounting.
Sports Camp & Vacation Bible School
We will have our annual Sports Camp for first to
eighth grade students from June 23-27. Vacation Bible
School will be held fromJuly 28-August 1 for four year
olds through high school students. Please contact Ra-
chel Degenhart at 915-521-8052 or check the website
for more information.
Thank you for your faithful support and please know
that we need consistent giving throughout the summer.
The bills still need to be paid even when people are on
vacations. God bless you!
Yours in our Lord Jesus,
William Cox Cobb, D.Min.

The best thing you can do for your child is…Knowing the goal of a game is important to every game. ”He who has the most toys wins.” Have you ever heard that slogan? Jesus said in Matthew 20:25, “You know that the rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and their great men exercise authority over them.” Power and position were evi-dence of greatness. Jesus went on to say in verses 26-28, “, It is not this way among you, but whoever wishes to be-come great among you shall be your servant, and whoever wishes to be first among you shall be your slave; just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.” This is quite a dif-ferent model of operation to what the disciples were used to, but then, the government of heaven is in no way simi-lar to the government of this world. Jesus frequently talked about “the kingdom of heaven” as something that was different that what was already present in the world. Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount fleshed this out; God gives inheri-tance for humility and the kingdom for persecution. Humility and persecution have value in one government system and no value in the other system of government. We are called to be citizens of the heavenly kingdom and to be ambassadors to this world. We are here with a message from the King; citizenship into the kingdom has been bought and paid for and free for anyone who will come. If we desire an eternal legacy for our children, if we want to build something that stands the test of time we must be careful to build according to the plans and rules that govern the world we want to build in. Psalm 127: 1-2 says, “Unless the LORD builds a house, the work of the builders is wasted.” We have an opportunity to model for our children what it is to build for something greater than the sum total of what we can accomplish in ourselves. God wants to build for us and through us. The fruit of that labor will be sweet, long lasting and have an eternal legacy. What are the goals of your game of life?

News from St. Clement’s Parish School
Church of St. Clement Community,
Our students, parents, and faculty are counting the days to the last day of school. As we move into the last week of classes we reflect back on a year full of blessings and wonderful memories. We are extremely privileged and honored to be a part of the St. Clement’s Parish community.
Our families enjoyed a fun-filled Wildcat Roundup event last Friday, May 16th, at the Western Playland Amusement Park. Well over 700 children and adults participated in this wonderful community-building event. Children from our school and from Ciudad Nueva joined us for an evening of “almost summer” fun. We were pleased that many families who will be joining our school in August were able to participate and feel
welcomed to our special school family.
Our last day of classes and our Graduation Day is scheduled for Friday, June 6, 2014. We will have a special 8th grade graduation Liturgy Service on Friday morning with the graduation ceremony later in the evening. We would be very pleased to invite all of our church members to join us at either event.
Thank you for a very special and challenging school year. We send blessings to all of our church and school families.
Hey Everyone!! The lazy days of summer are upon us al-ready....hahaha. Lazy. Yah right! We all know that kids need fun things to do while we're driving on
vacations, getting things taken care of at the office, or working hard around the house. That is why we are hosting the Summer Reading Program again
this year. We will be having our kickoff event after the service on June the 8th at noon. It will be a pot luck. Kids of all ages are welcome. And, we're going have a mystery guest that will read their favorite story. It will be a lot of fun, so bring the kids and come join us. Please contact Anne Walker at [email protected] or Jeremiah Spoon at [email protected] with any questions.

the way from Genesis to Revelation. The Word "inheritance" or forms of the word
(i.e.,inherit, heir, heritage, etc.) can be found in the Word of God no less than 300 times and appears with frequency in both Testa-
ments.
