The purpose for establishment of the American Martial Arts College is toprovide an institution of higher learning that is specifically structured to trainstudents to be not only excellent martial arts practitioners and instructors, butalso excellent martial arts business owners. Practicing martial arts is one ofthe most popular endeavors in the United States, and the number of martialarts businesses continues to grow every year. Unfortunately, many of thesebusinesses are run by self-proclaimed "masters" who are unable to providequality instruction to unknowing students, and whofrequently takeadvantage of available financial opportunities without regard to whether ornot they are detrimental to the students or to the martial arts in general. In

addition, numerous martial arts businesses are unsuccessful because thebusiness owner, although a quality instructor with well-meaning intentions,is uneducated about running the business itself. This program will providean avenue to address both of these issues, with graduates being fully trainedas practitioners, qualified as instructors, and well-versed in the appropriatebusiness applications. The American Martial Arts College will be structured as a private 501(c)3non-profit corporation offering a Certificate Program, an Associate of ArtsDegree, and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Martial Arts Studies. Instructionwill be provided both through a distance-learning platform as well as a
