Mrs. Lina Crutchfield died May
21st at Saxapahaw, aged 83 years,and on the following day the re-
mains were buried at Mt .Olive.
Miss Cordelia Boney died on
May23rd, at" 1the home of her neph-ew, Mr. Pleas .Dixon, near HawRiver. She was 80 years and 11
mos. of age. The interment was
at Hawfields on Saturday. A shorttime before her death Miss Boney
had a fall and sustained a frac-tured hip, and from that timeshe grew continuously worse un-til she died.
Walker Devoy," aged 2 yrs., 6
mos. and 11 days, son of Mr. aodMrs. A, W. Moser, died here Mon-day. The remains were buried atNew Providence Tuesday. Thechild had had measles and devel-oped a complies tion. The be-reaved parent* have the sympa-thy of the community.
Mrs. Catherine Walker died atthe County Home early this morn-ing, aged about 70 years. She wasthe widow of Henderson Walker,
a Confederate soldier of Co M*46th Regt. The remains will beburied in Caswell county tomor-row at Pleasant Grove in thewestern part of the county.
Leroy, aged 3 yrs., 10 mo*, and30 days, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. B.Elmore, died here Tuesday, Mayttth. The remains were buried inLinwood cemetery yesterday af-ternoon. The funeral serviceswere conducted by Bev. Jas. W.Rose
Miss Annie Kearens, aged 31 yrs.,died May 32nd, here at the homeof her aunt, Mrs. Letitia Mann.The remains were interred at CaneCreek, in the southern part of thecounty, on last Friday.

last Friday, st four o'clock in themorning, at her home near Saxa-

Mr. Peter A. Loot Dead.For some time Mr. Peter A.
Long, whose Vme was about fourmiles east of Haw RiVer, has suf-fered from an' affection of theheart. Last week his trouble grewworse until the end came Tues-day morning, 37th Inst. The fu-neral services and burial tookplace at New Providence yester-day afternoon at 3.30 o'clock. Thefuneral services 'were conductedRev. J. W. Holt and Dr. E. C. Mur-ray. Mr. Long was a son of thelate Joseph Anderson Long andwas born on his father's farm twoand a half miles southeast ofGraham, January 18, 1863. A goodmany years ago he made his homehere for several years. He wasan industrious, thrifty and suc-
cessful farmer, an upright cit-izen, and a life-long member ofthe church. He is survived by a
devoted wife and two -daughters,one brother, Mr. Jacob S. Long ofNew Jersey, and one sister, MissAnnie Long of this place. Hisdeath will be learned with deepregret by a large circle-of friendsand acquaintances .
