The AL-KO AMC automotive chassis conversion replaces the original manufacturer’s chassis with a state-of-the-art, lightweight chassis that improves ride comfort, road handling and allows increased payloads.

INCREASED PAYLOADAn AL-KO lightweight chassis saves additional weight in comparison to the original vehicle chassis and ensures that larger payloads can be achieved.

ROAD HOLDING AND CORNERINGThe height of the AL-KO chassis has been reduced to achieve a lower centre of gravity. This improves stability, road holding and cornering performance. The space in your motorhome conversion may also be increased due to the low frame design of an AL-KO chassis.

WEIGHT SAVING The AL-KO Chassis is up to 145kgs lighter than the original vehicle manufacturer’s chassis and with a gross vehicle weight of 3,850 or 5,000kg ensures increased payloads are achievable.

LARGER VEHICLE MASSThe low frame of the AMC chassis enables leading manufacturers to choose from a total of 10 wheelbase variations and 3 different track widths. This ensures the flexibility needed to craft exceptional motorhomes and provide extra space for each model.

‘CLICK-FIX’ LIFTING SUPPORT

Air premium is a fully automatic, electronically Controlled Air Suspension (eCAS) system. Air premium provides driving comfort comparable to car suspension systems, and is maintenance-free. The eCAS system includes inductive level sensors which provide constant, independent level positioning for the vehicle, irrespective of load state.

Air Top provides an additional air suspension system for the rear axle of the original base vehicle. The system increases roll stability, and improved driving comfort through a manual, external air supply. independent, manual level control for the left or right wheel is supplied through a dual circuit system and Air Top suspension is entirely maintenance free.

AL-KO ALCAir-premium X4 is the latest development in air-suspension systems from AL-KO .

Air-premium X4 provides unprecedented stability and comfort on any journey, and is particularly suitable for fragile loads & equipment, and / or passenger transport, such as emergency vehicles.

AL-KO AIR PREMIUM X4 AL-KO ALC is an automatic levelling device used instead of the conventional shock absorbers on the rear axle. AL-KO ALC maintains optimum ride height on both sides of the vehicle ensuring ground clearance can be maintained even for motorhomes with large rear overhangs.

Challenging terrain can be driven over whilst AL-KO ALC automatically adjusts the vehicle height, and on roads AL-KO ALC improves road holding, driving comfort and provides a more stable journey.

AL-KO `Click-Fix’ lifting supports are available as an electrical system with a remote control, or a mechanical system with an easy to operate crank handle. Both are simple to fit and easy to operate and have an integrated swivel mechanism for freeing. each are engineered to provide high load bearing capacities, a robust construction and feature high quality surface protection.

AL-KO is a fitment specialist for the VB-Air suspension system. This electronic, front and rear axle, full-air suspension automatically monitors and adjusts the ride-height of the vehicle. This constant regulation in both longitudinal and lateral directions contributes to improved vehicle behaviour and comfort on all four corners of the vehicle. The off-road mode gives greater ground-clearance when negotiating ferries and farm-tracks, while the auto-level function allows for a good night’s sleep and the tilt function means draining water tanks is even easier.
