Report - April to October 2016
Dear Parents, Greetings of the festival to all. New Academic Session
• Annual Review meeting was conducted on 2nd April 2016 with agenda on students’
performance and sharing next year’s planning schedule.
• Academic session started on 4th April 2016 with special Pooja conducted during
morning Assembly.
• Class X board results added a feather to our ABPS and all students came out with
flying colours.

AISSE Toppers 2015-16:
Meetings
• PTA Meeting with explanation on CCE method of teaching and assessment was held
for class III parent’s on 15.7.2016.
• PTA Meeting held for classes K.G., I, II, IV & V on 04.08.2016.
• PTA Meeting held for classes VI to X on 05.08.2016.
• School Management Committee meetings were held on 20th May & 24th August
2016.
Achievements
• 30 Students from classes III to VI, participated in “Mitsubishi Asian Children’s Enikki
Festa 2015-16” on 28.10.2015. 08 Students were selected for National level - Naren
Kausik of Class III received award winner’s prize and a certificate on 18.05.2016.
• UCMAS ABACUS open category district level competition was held at THANJAVUR
on 10th August 2016. Srinithi of class V, & Krishna of class VII secured champion
position while Keerthimalini of class VIII secured runner up position.
• 30th National ABACUS Competition – 2016 conducted by Brain-O-Brain was held on
14th August 2016 at Chennai. Rittika & Priyanga of class V secured Champion position
whilePriyadarsini, Harini & Archana secured silver medals.
• S Vidhula of class VII participated in 16thZONAL DRAGON SHITO – RYU KARATE
CHAMPIONSHIP -2016 at Lord Seven Hills Secondary School, Mannargudi, and
Thiruvarur on 4th September 2016. She achieved 1st position in KATA team event
under 13 years girls’ category and 2nd position in KATA individual event girls’
category.

• J.R. Eyazhene of class III has secured Runner-up position in State level Badminton
competition in the category of under 10, conducted by Elite Badminton Academy,
Chennai held on 15.10.2016.

• A. Aadhithya of class VII secured Regional Champion
position in Abacus- Grand module C-level, conducted
by SIP Abacus Academy held at Jamal Mohammed
College, Trichy on 23.10.2016.
Training Programme
A demo on fire extinguishing technique was organised by the Fire and Safety
department of RDCW-UTCL, for the Teachers and students of both ABPS and ABMS,
at school ground on 29.04.2016.
Awareness programme on “Electric Safety at Home” was conducted for our students
of classes VI to X by members from Electrical department of RDCW - UTCL on
19.07.2016. The session was very interactive and fruitful for our children.
A workshop was organised by CBSE, titled on “Gender Sensitivity”. Our 5 teachers
had attended and received certificates – At Namakkal on 23.07.2016.
Participation
• INSPIRE AWARD: 2015-16 Science exhibition at District level held at Nirmala Girls Hr.
Secondary School, Ariyalur on 25.7.2016. S. Yazhini of Class X presented a project
titled ‘INFLAMMABLE GAS SENSOR’.
• 5 Students of class IX participated in zonal level “Channel surfers & Face painting”
cultural competition organized by Akilandeswari School, Trichy on 27.08.2016.
• 82 Students participated in National level Green Olympiad Exam – 2016 organised by
“TERI – New Delhi” at our school on 30.08.2016.
Celebration
• Ram Navami was celebrated on 15.04.2016.
• International Yoga Day was celebrated on 21.06.2016 at our school ground. All
students from classes III to X along with staff participated. Various yoga asana were
performed by students and teachers which was followed by Chanting of Gayathri
mantra and meditation.
• Our school’s 18th Foundation day was celebrated on 15.07.2016. On the same day
Investiture ceremony was held and students’ leader were appointed. Various
competitions were held like Fancy dress, solo dance, group dance and foot loose for
various classes.
• Guru Poornima was celebrated 19.07.2016with performing of special Pooja and
Bhajans.
• Independence Day was celebrated on 15.08.2016.
• Annual Sports Day was held on 20.08.2016.
• Krishna Jayanthi was celebrated on 24.08.2016.
• Raksha bandan was celebrated for KG children on 24.08.2016.
• Ganesh Chaturthi and Teacher’s day were celebrated on 03.09.2016.
• Mahakavi Subramanya Bharathiyar’s 95th Death anniversary was observed on
10.09.2016.
Co-Curricular Activities
• Speech competition held on various topics for classes from I to V in Hindi, English,
and Tamil.
• Extempore Speech Competition for classes for VI to X.
• Group discussion & Project & PPT (Safety) Competition for classes VI to X.
• Story telling competition was conducted for class I & II in English, Tamil & Hindi on
27.08.2016.
• Electrical safety competition was conducted by UTCL-RDCW and 4 of our children
won prizes.
Other Events
• SPL & ASPL election were conducted on 16th April 2016.

• Demo and Presentation on Herbal Treatment was conducted for the students from
VII to X by a person from Gandhigram Rural Institute, Dindigul – on 04.7.2016.
• JUNK FOOD AWARENESS WEEK celebrated from 25th July to 30th July 2016.
• A special Pooja and speech was organised on 27.7.2016 to commemorate Dr. A.P.J.
Abdul Kalam’s first death anniversary. Speech given by our teachers Mr. N. Senthil
Kumar and Mr. T. Prakash
