To Our Church Family and Friends, Jesus is able to keep us from stumbling. He knows us and just how weak we are and how easily we are led astray. Yet, He is always holding on to us. He wants us to continue to grow in His grace. Trust Jesus in all of our ways. He will never forsake or let us go. His love remains strong. Only Jesus can keep us faultless, blameless, perfect, and unblemished before the presence of His Father. Sarah Young puts it this way: “Exceeding joy is for both you and me. Jesus delights in us now, but this joy will be astronomically magnified when we join Him in glory. The joy that we will experience in Heaven is so far beyond anything we have known on earth that it is indescribable. Nothing can rob us of this glorious inheritance, which is imperishable and will not fade away. Rejoice.” By knowing Jesus Christ as our personal Savior, heaven is coming to our lives. What a wonderful Lord, we serve!! October is going to be a very busy month with a lot of activities going on beginning with the senior mountain trip and concluding with Trunk or Treat on the 30 th . Special Project For Veterans Day The Marshville Museum and Cultural Center would like your help with a special project for Veterans Day this year. To honor our veterans, we would like to feature their pictures on the Art Wall at the Museum for Veterans Day. If you are a veteran or have family who served in any branch, war or conflict, please share a picture with the Museum. If you don’t have a copy, they can make copies. You can bring pictures to the Museum (Fridays & Saturday’s 10am-4pm & Sunday’s 1pm-4pm), leave at Dave’s Pizza, at the Library or give to Phyllis Simpson. Please include name of veteran and details of service. Please leave your name if you need copy made and your copy returned. The Museum also would like to make a book of the pictures collected to display in their Military Exhibit. The Museum thanks you in advance for helping with this project. ______________________________________________________

Officially Fall……

Well that happened fast. The summer is gone. But one of my favorite events of the year happened today, September 25th. That was See You At The Pole. This is where students have an opportunity to gather at the flag pole at their school and pray. There were about 20 students at Forest Hills and 65 at East Union. 2nd Chronicles 7:14 says “if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” This was the focus scripture for this morning’s SYATP event. As I stood in front of the group from East Union playing guitar and singing praise songs with them, it hit me how quickly these students will be out of school and into the world. They will be the ones leading our country in just a few short years. This renews my passion for student ministry and reinvigorates my desire to see them grow closer to our Lord. To see students of every race, socioeconomic background singing praises to God gives me hope for the future of our country. It gives me hope that we can all put aside the decisiveness that we see in our country. We can remove the divide between groups of people and unite for one purpose, to serve God. I wonder if you might make it your prayer this upcoming month that the young people in our community be strengthened in their resolve to serve Christ, grow in their walk with Him, and honor God in all they do. This will truly be the way our country can see revival.
