The Academy at Emirates Golf Club is run in association with Peter Cowen, one of the world’s most recognised golf coaches who has worked with some of the very best players in the world including Major Champions, European Tour Winners and Ryder Cup Players such as Darren Clarke, Lee Westwood, Louis Oosthuizen and Henrik Stenson.

This partnership allows Emirates Golf Club to utilise Peter’s experience and expertise first hand, offering both beginners and established golfers alike to follow in the footsteps of golfing greats and improving their own game. The Golf Professionals at The Academy are qualified to teach the method and philosophy of Peter Cowen, using the uniquely structured ‘Learning Pyramid’ and the teaching manual that is endorsed by Peter.

The Academy’s Kindergarten Pyramid Programme is designed specifically for children aged between four and six years old and it is an ideal way to introduce your child to the game of golf.

Over an eight week period, your child will spend 30 minutes per week with one of our qualified Golf Professionals learning all aspects of the game. With the classes being limited to a maximum of four children per instructor, safety and enjoyment are always paramount.

Lightweight junior clubs will be provided if required.

Kindergarten Pyramid Programme

The Academy’s Junior Pyramid Programme has been created for youngsters aged between six and 16 years old.

Classes are limited to a maximum of six children per instructor and over an eight week period, your child will spend 45 minutes per week with one of our Golf Professionals focusing on the key fundamentals of the game. Participants will not only be learning on the driving range but will also have access to the Par 3 Academy course both during and after their lessons.

Custom designed junior clubs are available if required.

Each child will receive instructional information via email and a DVD containing the lesson content.

Why not take the opportunity to learn golf in a friendly and relaxed environment, with The Academy’s Ladies Programme?

Over a period of eight weeks your group will be taken through various aspects of the game by your qualified Golf Professionals.

Your group will consist of a maximum of four participants, ensuring you receive ample time with your instructor during the 45 minute weekly lessons. Learn Golf In A Week is The Academy’s signature beginners’ group programme and provides an excellent introduction to the game of golf.

Spread across a week, you will receive a total of four hours of instruction in a maximum group size of eight, ensuring that you receive the necessary support from your qualified Golf Professionals to establish your golfing skills. The course covers the basic set-up fundamentals and golf swing mechanics, body motion and ball striking and the art of the shortgame with pitching, chipping and putting. All equipment will be provided.

Learn Golf At Night

Finding the time to learn how to play golf during the day is not always possible. The Academy’s Night Golf Professionals are on hand to improve your game after hours on the floodlit Faldo course. Not only can you play on the Faldo course until 10pm, but you can also play on the Par 3 course under the stars until late.

The Foundation Night Golf Programme covers the key golf fundamentals, including long game, short game and putting. One-on-one sessions with a qualified Golf Professional ensure you get the support and coaching you need to improve your game.
