Case Resolution

Mix the following segments and have the students place               them in the correct order to show how Inspector Tiger                 resolved thecaseandrevealedthetrueidentityofthe                 ABC murderer . . .

This is how it happened…..

Mr. FranklinClarkemetA.B.Custatthedominoesclub.Hislapsesof                     memory, his insignificant personality and his initials: A.B. Mr. Franklin wrote to Mr. Cust offering him a job. He sent him the                         stockings, andoncethevictimswereselected, hesentCustthelist                     of clients that he should visit.

Franklin then typed all the letters that he would send toInspector                     Tiger, and then sent Mr. Cust the same machine as a present.

Mr. Cust is instructed to go to Andover to visit several clients,                     including Mrs. Ascher. Later that day, Mrs. Ascher is brutally                 murdered.

Next, Franklin brother's murder. The third letter got lost               intentionally so the police wouldn't stop him. He had to kill his                     brother.

He sent Mr. Cust to Churston. There Mr Cust sold stockings to Miss                       Grey, and then Franklin killed his brother.

After this murder, Franklin had no wish to commit any more murders

Mr.CustslandladymadeCustrealizethathehadbeentoeveryplace                       where there had been a murder. He lost his nerve, but felt that he                         had to go because it was his duty.

At Doncaster, Franklin followed Mr. Cust to a cinema.When the film was over, he stabbed a man in the row in front, and                           when Mr. Cust passed by, wiped some blood on hissleeveandslipped                       the knife into his pocket. He didn’t mind choosing a victim whose                     name didnt begin with D. It would be considered to be a mistake.

Mr. Cust went to his room and found blood and the knife in his                         pocket. Because of his blanks he obviously believed he was the                   killer! While washing his hands, the maid opened the door and saw                     him.That is why the maid called Inspector Tiger.

Even though all the evidence pointed to Mr. Cust something just                   didn’t add up and the Inspector Tiger of coursewouldnotletitgo                         until she had revealed the real true identity of the ABC murders!
