“Success in the 21st century requires knowing howto learn. Students today will likely have severalcareers in their lifetime. They must developstrong critical thinking and interpersonalcommunication skills in order to be successfulin an increasingly fluid, interconnected, andcomplex world. Technology allows for 24/7access to information, constant socialinteraction, and easily created and shareddigital content.
In this setting, educators can leverage technologyto create an engaging and personalizedenvironment to meet the emerging educationalneeds of this generation. No longer doeslearning have to be one-size-fits-all or confinedto the classroom. The opportunities afforded bytechnology should be used to re-imagine 21st-century education, focusing on preparingstudents to be learners for life.
