The 2020 Rural Alaska Community Environmental Job Training Program (RACEJT) (RACEJT) Providing environmental job training to support local hire in rural Alaska communities STRUCTURE OF TRAINING PROGRAM: Four weeks of training split into two sessions. COLLEGE CREDIT: 10 UAF class credits and conferral of the Occupational Endorsement as a Rural Waste Management & Spill Response Technician. PLACEMENT: Job search and job retention skills taught, and placement assistance provided. ELIGIBILITY: RACEJT is open to unemployed rural Alaska residents. Our goal is to place graduates in a local job position that facilitates their community’s environmental health. Applicants with strong potential to secure local or regional employment will receive priority program acceptance.
