    Rob Chambers:

    Intercity meeting

a reminder that partners are welcome.

Rob also encouraged members to invite a guest as Intercity will provide a great opportunity to

showcase our club’s current activities as well as exciting future directions.

Rob has written to the councillors at the City of Charles Sturt, asking them if they are aware of any

community organisations could benefit from RCKP assistance.

    Tom Bunnik

Please consider volunteering as a host for the Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner Event on Saturday the

    2nd March

    Robert Ryan:

The Popeye Gin cruise numbers have reached 25, thus securing the vessel exclusively for members of

RCKP. Robert’s daughter-in-law will provide cheese platters for a levy of $5.00 per head that can be

    purchased on the night.

The title of the Gambling Night event will be reviewed. The theme is the prohibition era. $50.00 co-

vers a catered meal, music, and activities including games that involve Monopoly style money. The

proposed venue is either Bunnik House or Prohibition Gin

    Kevin Tiggemann:

Highly recommended that RCKP members register for the Hahndorf Conference

    (Continued from p 1)

Kirsty’s involvement with Magill Sunrise, is not surprising as Rotary has played a significant role in many aspects of her life. When she was 6, Kirsty’s father’s involvement enabled her family to live in Japan where she quickly learned to converse in Japanese. During her high school years, she was grateful for the opportunity to return to Japan as a Rotary Exchange student. Following high school, Kirsty participat-ed in a Rotary Youth Exchange to a location in the vicinity of Aspen, Colorado. There she developed her love of skiing and film. Later, Kirsty was involved in a Rotary sponsored Group Study Exchange to Sweden which was the catalyst that gave her the confidence and inspiration to form Epic Films in 2010, and to become a producer. Kirsty is currently the development producer of the South Australian office of internationally owned Matchbox Pictures. Along the way, Kirsty (and her productions) have won many awards and accolades, and her credits include Westlander Panda, Goober and First Day. In June last year, First Day won the Gender Equity Prize at the prestigious Prix Jeunesse International Children’s Television Festival, and was awarded second place in the 7-10 Year Fiction category. In Octo-ber, First Day won the MIPCOM Diversity TV Award for Kids Programming in Cannes. Kirsty's future looks very bright indeed, and we wish her every success.
