NATIONAL CATHEDRAL SCHOOL ST. ALBANS SCHOOL ABOUT NCS-STA PERFORMING ARTS The Performing Arts Program at the National Cathedral School (NCS) and St. Albans School (STA) brings together girls and boys in grades 4-12 to sing, dance, play instruments, and act on stage. Ensembles range from the 160-voice, coeducational Upper School Chorale to the boys and girls choirs of the lower grades; from the 50-piece orchestra to solo performers on 14 different instruments and voice. Each year the schools hold six stage productions in drama and dance, ranging from classic masterpieces to current works written, directed, and choreographed by students. The Brylawski Stage at STA’s Trapier Theater and Washington National Cathedral are the main locations for performances, although several are held at NCS. Additional performances take place almost every day in Chapel at the two schools and in the community. Performing arts opportunities are available to all, from beginning students to the most advanced and experienced. When attending a performance, please park in the parking garage on the Cathedral grounds and not on neighborhood streets. Tickets for theater and dance performances may be reserved via online box offices at NCS and STA. Tickets are not required for concerts.
