Sacraments!

Baptism for children is celebrated at Mass on the last Sunday of the

month. Call the rectory to register. Baptism for Adults (18+ years) is

through the RCIA process to receive the 3 Sacraments of Initiation:

Baptism, Eucharist & Confirmation. !

First Communion: Children begin the preparation in the 1st

Grade.

Following the two year preparation, they receive their First Communion

in the Spring of 2nd

Grade. !

Confirmation: Young people in the Faith Formation Program begin

preparation in the 7th grade and follow a 3 year preparation. In the

Spring of their Freshman year, they receive the Sacrament of

Confirmation. !

Confession is available on Saturdays at 3:00 PM & at 5:00PM in church,

Thursdays at 7:30 PM during the Holy Hour, or by appointment.!

Anointing of the Sick: Nursing homes are visited once a month. If you

are in the hospital, or prior to surgery, you should notify the Rectory to

receive the Sacrament.!

Marriage: Couples who are planning to marry should contact the

Priest at least 6 months prior to the desired date of Marriage. Couples

who are in a civil union are invited to celebrate the Sacrament of

Vocations: Young people who are considering a vocation to the

Priesthood, Religious Life should contact the Diocesan Vocation Office,

or talk to the Priest. The Church needs you!!

Los Sacramentos!

Bautismo de niños es el ultimo domingo del mes en la Misa. Los

Padres y Padrinos deben asistir en la Preparación el 2º y 3º domingo del

mes. Llame a la rectoría para anotarse. Bautismo para los Adultos (18+

años) es en el proceso de RICA para recibir los 3 Sacramentos de

La Unción de los Enfermos: El sacerdote visita a los hogares de

ancianos cada mes. Si está hospitalizado, avise al Padre.!

Matrimonio: Los novios que quieren casarse, deben hablar con el

Párroco al menos 6 meses antes de la fecha deseada. Las parejas que

están en Unión Libre o casados solo por lo civil, están invitados a

celebrar el Sacramento del Matrimonio.!

Vocaciones: Los jóvenes deben pensar en la vida Sacerdotal, la vida

Religiosa. Hablen con el Sacerdote ¡La Iglesia te necesita!!

Next Sunday Fr. Paul Canuel will celebrate

the 11:30 Mass to mark his 50th Anniversary

of Ordina*on as a Priest. Following Mass

there will be a coffee and donuts recep*on to greet Father

Canuel. For a number of years he was the pastor of

Nuestra Senora de Guadalupe Parish in the south End of

New Bedford. Join us in offering prayer for God’s blessing

on Fr. Canuel’s ministry. All are invited to join in the

You’re invited to a Holy Hour on Thursdays following the

Spanish Mass. During the Holy Hour, the various prayer

As part of the Diocese’s

commitment to protec*ng

children, all adults who work with children of the parish

must a7end a CORI training session and pass a background

check each year. At this *me of year, each volunteer

should see Tim Mitchell at the main entrance of church to

sign the CORI form and provide a copy of your photo ID.

For those who have not par*cipated prior, there will be

training sessions offered on Sunday: June 5 at 11:00 AM or

on Monday June 13 at 6:00 PM. If you have any ques*ons,
