When Do We Celebrate Thanksgiving?

In America the president Abraham Lincolndeclared on November 26th that the lastThursday of November should be a day of givingthanks. The congress in 1941 declared it anational holiday.

Customs

The usual meal for Thanksgiving is Turkey,carrots, potato’s, cranberries, and pumpkin piefor dessert. Usually people add in otherkinds of food they want to eat with it as well.Families, and or friends get together to bakeand eat these delicious foods.

During Thanksgiving shops and factories areclosed down for the day so everyone can spendit with their Family and Friends. The only peopleworking are News stations who are covering thetraditional Parades. Parades are full of floats andballoons.
