Psalm 57:10-12 Dear Friends, Saturday morning looked rather “iffy” weatherwise. At first I thought that we might have to endure “liquid sunshine” for our annual parish festival. But before you knew it, the skies cleared, the rain stopped, and we were blest with a beautiful Wisconsin weekend. For those of us who enjoyed the festival, we must extend a hearty “thank you” to Steve Kessenich and his
committee. The months of planning, the set-up, seeking volunteers to assist in so many ways, tackling challenges, plus hours of hands-on service, etc… One can only imagine all the work that goes on behind the scenes. Thanks a lot Steve to you and all those who helped! Gratitude must also be extended to everyone who assisted for the Sunday outdoor Mass under the tent. Each year we have concluded the festival with an outdoor Eucharist. Again, there is so much pre-planning to bring a celebration like this to fruition. Firstly and foremost, thanks be to God! Thanks to all the sacristans, music ministry, our decorators, and all the other liturgical ministers. Almost 400 people participated in the Festival Sunday Celebration of the Sacred Liturgy. My fortieth anniversary of ordination was both acknowledged and celebrated. Following Mass, we all enjoyed a picnic and fellowship. Truly, I am so grateful to you wonderful people of Blessed Teresa for your kindness and generosity. Lastly, but by no means least, our prayers are with all our students from the parish who will soon be back at school. From pre-school to graduate studies our prayers accompany you as you begin a new academic year.
Your brother in Christ, Fr. Tony

Some Questions on the Roman Missal, Third Edition
What difference will these changes make in my parish? Some of the differences will be obvious immediately. We will have to learn new musical settings for the various parts of the Mass. We will learn new words for common prayers, such as the Creed. Those of us who began saying the Mass prayers by heart long ago will need to rely on printed texts again, at least for a while. In the early months of the transition, we may find it more challenging to pray with one voice as people adjust to the new texts and gradually commit them to their hearts. But these surface differences will give way to deeper and more significant changes with a deeper understanding of the Liturgy and a renewed reverence for and appreciation of the Mass. We will hear prayers with new ears and with new hearts. Our Liturgy will be filled with new life and new spirit as we celebrate the Paschal Mystery of Christ made present for us.
